The Vision

On the continent of Europe, the evangelical Christian population is shockingly diminished.  In some countries, it has virtually disappeared. The Stockdales and the majority of the GCM team have committed the remainder of their lives to helping reach this neglected mission field.

The spiritual vitality of today’s Latin America is the fruit of the prayers, labor, sacrifice, and yes, even blood, of generations of both national Christians as well as mission-minded Christians from more affluent countries. Without a similar or even greater effort, Europe is sure to become the new “Dark Continent.”

“Europe in the 21st century is the dark continent for Christianity. The moral crisis and spiritual bankruptcy of Western civilization’s homeland is the greatest challenge to Christians who long to carry out the great commission to the lost throughout the world.”  (Bailey McBride)

Can God do in Europe in the next 30 years what He has done in Latin America in the last 30? There are many factors which, some may say, make the comparison unfair. But the point is simple: God is able to do it. A better question is: Are we willing to pay the same price to reach the 729 million people of Europe which our spiritual forefathers paid to set into motion Latin America’s spiritual revolution?

Our vision is Biblical, simple, grand, and God-dependent: Europe saturated with the gospel.
