What if I don’t know Polish?
Not a problem. Polish is said to be one of the 7th hardest languages to learn, so we don’t expect you to arrive in Poland fluent, or even speaking any Polish at all. Most of the students you will be connecting with will all speak English pretty well and will be eager to get to know you- simply because you speak English, so it’s actually to your advantage that you are an English speaker! Of course they’ll also be eager to teach you some of their language during the summer… and you may want to bring a phrase book to help!
How is Poland LT different from Stateside LT?
Actually it is very different- it is much smaller (only 10-15 students) and you will work directly with a pastor and church planting team to establish relationships essential to planting a church. Also while living in a different culture you will have the opportunity and challenge of learning about a way of life different from your own and how these people need freedom in Christ just as much as we do. Also in Poland it is difficult to obtain a work permit and so students will be engaged full time in ministry.
What are the qualifications?

How much does it cost?
Students are required to raise their own support to cover cost of living and transportation to/from Poland. In 2005 the approximate total cost for the entire summer (including airfare) was 3500 USD. Obviously this can vary based on current airfare.
