The Call

The Stockdales
As a young married couple, Jack and Joan Stockdale attended a conference in which the speaker challenged the Christians to take seriously Christ's commission to "go and make disciples of all the nations." Since that time their lives have been oriented to this cause. For Jack and Joan obeying the Great Commission has meant making disciples and planting 3 churches in the United States and eventually moving their family to Poland in 2002 to make God known among the nations.

The Zubenkos
Just after the collapse of communism, Sasha Zubenko spent several years working in Warsaw, Poland in order to make a living. During this time he came to know the Polish language and culture. After returning to Ukraine he became very active in his church, and met his wife, Ania.  While he had left Poland physcially many years earlier, his heart was still there. After learning of the team already in Poznan, just months after they were married, Sasha and Ania moved to Poland in 2003 to join the work.

Shelley
As a university student, Shelley had opportunities to be involved with 4 short term mission trips- ministering in Mexico, Russia, Italy and Poland. Through these trips God impressed on her heart a desire to fulfill the great commission.  When she left Poland after helping with English Clubs in 2004, she felt a strong desire to go back for a longer term.  Upon seeking God's guidance, she returned to Poland in 2005 to join our team.

Our Team
As a team we believe that foreign missionaries are not inherently more spiritual than other Christians, but that all believers have been commissioned by Christ to "go." The only questions which remain are "where?" and "to whom?" You may have been sent by Christ to the people in your neighborhood or workplace, or to people in prison, or in drug rehab. The point is, all Christians are missionaries.
