How do you like to spend your time on your day off?
Spending time with my sweetie! I also like to take long bike rides and explore the Polish countryside. And in the winter I like to take a long hot bath.

Most Embarassing run-in with Polish culture to date?
Well, there's only a little space here! ...The worst incident I can remember is when I was at the store and I wanted to ask the shopkeeper how much something cost and instead I asked her how old she is!! Oops!
No, the worst thing is I did the same thing two other times!!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I think it would be the ability to learn languages. If you know me, you know how much I like to communicate and can imagine how difficult it is for me to be at the school with all those moms and not be able to really talk!
What is the best advice anyone has ever given to you?
Keep right priorities. Love God first of all, then your husband, then your children. As the mother of such a large family, those priorities have sometimes taken all my time. A while back I was feeling very insecure about my role in the work here. I am not exactly in the same stage of life as the kids we work with! But God has allowed me to see Him use my family in ways I had never imagined. And now I am "Mom" to even more kids here! |
